Drone Surveys & Aerial Mapping

For large sites and rugged terrain, drone-based aerial mapping captures detailed, accurate data fast. We combine UAV imagery with ground control for survey-grade results.

Tell us what the city, county, architect, or engineer requested — we'll help confirm the right survey for your project. Call now to discuss it.

What is Drone Survey?

A drone (UAV) survey uses aerial imagery to produce detailed topographic maps, orthophotos, and 3D models of a site. For large parcels, steep terrain, and areas that are slow or unsafe to walk, it captures dense data quickly. We pair drone data with surveyed ground control so the results meet professional accuracy standards, not just attractive pictures.

Frequently asked questions

Is a drone survey accurate enough for engineering?

When flown with properly surveyed ground control and processed correctly, drone mapping achieves accuracy suitable for many topographic and planning purposes. We set control and verify results so the data is dependable; for tasks needing the highest precision we supplement with ground survey.

When does a drone survey make sense over a ground survey?

Large sites, steep or hazardous terrain, and projects needing orthophotos, 3D models, or earthwork volumes are strong fits. Small lots and certain boundary tasks are still best handled by ground methods.

Can you calculate grading and stockpile volumes?

Yes. From the aerial surface we can compute cut/fill and stockpile volumes for earthwork and grading.

How much does a drone survey cost?

Site size, terrain, flight planning, and deliverables affect price. Request a free estimate and we will scope your specific site.

Licensed Surveyor Oversight

Survey work is completed by, or under the responsible charge of, California-licensed Professional Land Surveyors. When a stamped survey is required, the final deliverable will identify the responsible licensee for that project.
